I like the clean simple look, with a tiny little peep of pleating at the bottom. Best of all this sucker comes right off and can go right in the washing machine. And now it matches my couch.
Here is what it looks like underneath. I found this leather ottoman for 5 dollars at a yard sale. It was already worn and broken in and perfect for a house with kids and pets.
I love Coastal Living magazine. But do I subscribe? Nope. I buy my Coastal Living mags from the Public Library for 25 cents each.
I'll take you on a little DIY tour....this is the slipcover I made out of drop cloths for my couch.
A cargo style burlap pillow I made a while back.
I used my own photography and printed these pictures out on plain copier paper, then framed them in frames from the dollar store.
More black and white copier paper photos.
My favorite lamp. I spray painted her white and covered the shade with burlap and added yard sale crystals. I learned how to make the nautical rope ball on Youtube.
Everything on this coffee table, I found for a bargain. I made the coasters by whitewashing terra cotta saucers.
All of the pillows I also found as bargains.
Very cozy, no?
It just goes to show that a little can go a long way....
I'm so looking forward to seeing your masterpieces this week!
Have fun,

I love the ottoman too! Thank you for the link to where you got the instructions. :) Such a great room!
ReplyDeleteThe burlap chicken wire frame is such a neat idea!! I could use slip covers for my sofas (don't like how cold leather is) ..., don't think I can pull it off, so I'm using a large quilt that's draped over.
ReplyDeleteWOW! you are so creative! I cannot believe those are just pictures printed on copy paper!! Did I get that right! WOW!
