I'm also waiting to see my new narcissus bulbs bloom. They were were free, from Freecycle.org.
I already had the stones and vases.
I started them on Christmas Eve.
Here they are sprouting on January 4th.
Below is a picture I took today.
The big paint project I'm tackling this weekend is painting the kitchen, finally.
I love this wallpaper border, but it's looking a little dated so off it goes!
It's hard to tell the paint color in my kitchen from these photo's. It's a nice tan color like most of my walls. But it's too dark for my kitchen, because there's a lack of natural light. The color makes my kitchen feel like a cave.
So, I'm painting it bright white! I can't wait! I'm hoping to have the kitchen reveal finished by next Monday.

I love the bulb project you're doing. I always want to do it and get busy and forget to get bulbs. I love the pretty color of the stones. Hope you'll have some photos of the blooms in all their glory. You really started your new year off with a great project. Look forward to seeing it finished.

ReplyDeleteI always mean to do narcissus but forget. We rescued a amaryllis today at Target and planted it tonight. I love them and I hate to see them trying to grow in a box! Silly me.
ReplyDeleteThe bulbs are going to be so pretty! I planted some in a planter on my patio. Waiting to see how they will do!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your kitchen reveal! Nothing like freshening things up a little! :)

Kitchen updo is always a big job. Looking forward to seeing more. Love the bulbs. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteYou reminded me that I have some bulbs to do the same thing with. I love forcing bulbs. I usually plant paperwhites for the holidays but didn't get to that. I think we all need a little "real life" in our homes after all the bling of Christmas, to remind us that Spring is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. Forced bulbs in winter helps with the wait for spring.
