Welcome To The 131st Masterpiece Monday!


Hi Everyone! 
Did you have a great 4th of July? It's one of my favorite Summer time things. Another one is yard sales! I found this sail boat painting for 3 dollars.


Here is the before pic.  The frame was too dark, but to me, that's just a fun challenge!


I painted the frame using my free recycled white semi-gloss Behr paint and then used my sander to give it some character.

I never prep or prime any of my pieces, because I want them to chip.




I really love the shabby coastal look it has now, and it was a free makeover.

Mary , I just love that painting. We have a small sitting room on our lower level that is all nautical and I hope I find another picture kind of like the one you have there. Love the frame painted! It looks so much better. xo Diana
