Welcome To The 137th Masterpiece Monday!

Hi!
Did you get your free paint coupons from Benjamin Moore? I got a coupon for one pint in Sunset mag and another coupon for 2 pints from my local clipper mailer. I chose "Poolside Blue" for all three pints.  I loooove this color! It's fun to choose a color for once, since I usually get second hand paint from the recycling center.
This magazine holder has been beggin' for a paint job for a long time. My hubby found it at the curb.  I use it in my craft room to store my craft magazines.

Wow, what difference paints makes!

I only applied one coat and used a dry brush technique to let the wood stain peek through.
On top of it, I repurposed a vintage ironing board into an inspiration board. Now I have a little "inspiration center". I think this will help organize my craft room some.
I tied four separate pieces of sturdy cotton ribbon strips around the ironing board to avoid it from popping open. Better safe than sorry! I tied another at the top for fun and added a hanger.
I'll be adding and changing this board a lot probably, but for now, I have some vintage family pictures up. You might think I'm crazy, but I think the water stains on the ironing board are charming!
These inspire me a lot.  I love looking at black and white pictures of simpler times.
Pictures of my Grandmother who taught me all about antiques and yard sales and thrift stores.
I always remember her beach house, which greatly inspires my decor choices.
My moms high school photo below.  She taught me how make a house a home and the importance of family.
I added this cute little frame from GW. The lower left picture in it is my favorite picture of my Grandma, sitting on Rose Hill, CA.
