Here's a pic of the tree before decorating it, with the paper flowers.
I decorated my metal fireplace "Old Rusty", with a seahorse advent calendar and sea angel swag. Last year I displayed the seahorses on a life preserver. This year I used my craft room bulletin board, framed with silver pipe cleaners and thumb tacks. A different Christmas scripture is written on the back of each tag.
I made my sea angel swag by cutting out the wings with a jigsaw and drilling holes to add string. After painting the wings, I gave them one a dusting of glitter. The clothes pin angels are dressed in fabric scraps, with pipe cleaner halos.

ReplyDeletewonderful job decorating the tree!!! CHristne from Little BRags
ReplyDeleteI actually like the way your tree has morphed into a more rustic looking tree. I've seen people smoosh the branches into layers and let the ornament hang in between and I love it too. I think you were very creative to put the flowers in for filler and your tree looks like you planned it that way! Good job.
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous tree Mary! Thanks for sharing and for hosting. Have a terrific week.
