Welcome To The 168th Masterpiece Monday and a Spring Vignette

Happy Spring Everybody!  I thought I would start my first post of the season with my Spring~bling egg.

This was a gift from a friend years ago. The bees and pink flowers are so perfect for Spring. I made a simple nest for it out of a seashell and Spanish moss.

I paired it with a brass lantern to play up the gold in the egg. I'm really, really liking gold lately.

This is my latest cheapie flower find from Trader Joe's for $5.99. The purple, lavender and pale yellow color of the flowers and the pink and gold egg compliment each other I think.

I found out that I don't need to be super matchy-matchy for things to harmonize together. And I think it looks a little more interesting too.

Next to the vignette I added a cozy, grey knitted throw, because in the Spring the nights are still chilly, and my butterfly pillow, which is just as blingy as the egg. Soft textures and a soft color pallet for Spring!

  8. Mary, your egg is absolutely lovely. And I'm imagining how wonderful the aroma is of your fresh stock. Their fragrance is among my favorite with that light clove/carnation scent.

Hope you Sunday has been blessed in every way.
