Fall Make Over On A GW Find

I found this cute little box at Goodwill for $3.99. I like it because it has endless decorating possibilities.

I took the original pictures out of it and added some cut out pages from a book, made sure they fit and then removed and decorated them.
I took out my large script stamp (not shown) and stamped the wording side ways over the original print. Then I just randomly stamped some fall images.
The fun part was using this velvety peel and stick stuff. It was free from Freecycle! But they probably have it at any craft store.
So easy! I can't wait to redecorate it for Christmas, and Spring and Summer.......
I think it's supposed to used as a letter/key holder.......
but for now, I'm having fun using it for candles.

But...I love, love, LOVE how you decorated it for autumn! You're such a creative and talented lady!!! Using the paper...makes for a great background to all of your fabulous and fun stamps...and I love the orange velvet designs!!! Sooo pretty, my friend! Adding the pretty birds and pinecones was the "icing on the cake" so to speak! What a lovely autumn vignette! Thank you for sharing it with us! Hmmm...now I will be keeping my eyes out for a similar box!!!

  17. What a find... and you are so creative. Your right, it will be great to use year 'round. My kind of decorating. I love to get a lot of mileage out of an item... not as much packing and unpacking! Another Goodwill fan, Annette

  19. Oh I like it so much! Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to see how it looks when you decorate it for Christmas, etc.

By the way, I just have to tell you that I have those same bird tea light holders, which I got from Dollar Tree. Yours look like they are in much better shape than mine were when I bought them. I had to do a little makeover on them, which I posted about here: http://31diy.blogspot.com/2010/08/thrifty-find-dollar-store-birds.html

    Best,
