Welcome To The 89th Masterpiece Monday!

Hi!
We had a birthday party for a good friend of ours. Do you ever freak out and over clean before company comes over? I always say I'm not going to go overboard, but I always do. It's not like my house is that bad, or like I have  to "Spring Clean" it before a crowd comes over. I need to learn how to relax.
So of course I was too tired to really decorate, let alone make some decorations as I would of liked too. So instead of pushing myself, I dug my all purpose birthday flag out of the closet, used a colorful table runner over a plastic table cloth and lit citronella candles.
I used some regular scented votives set in sand with some shells in a glass bowl for the center piece. And scattered some votive holders with citronella votives around. I didn't see one bug, yay!
When our canopy cover went south, we kept the frame and attached Christmas lights.
I used plastic plates and cups to save money on disposable ones and allowed everyone to bring a potluck dish. I usually always make all of the food, but I forced myself to let others help this time.
Our friends birthday was a lot of fun and I actually sat down and relaxed!
