Crate And Barrel Votive Vignette

I found these four Crate And Barrel glass votive holders at a thrift store and the peacock feather tips from a yard sale. Click on the image to get a better view. I love the colors in the feathers and they completely match the votive holders, which I didn't even plan. Love it when that happens!

A Little Hint Of Spring

I recently found these napkins while out thrifting and thought that the pattern was perfect for Spring. I love the turquoise blue in them. They go really well with my blue ginko leaf salad plates from GW and the dragon fly napkin rings also from GW. You can see the entire tablescape Here from my last Tablescape Thurday post.

Mosaic Monday and Blue Monday

I love Rachel Ashwell, she is so inspiring! And it's easy to take her style and personalize it to suit your own taste and budget. This book called "The Shabby Chic Collection", is a special collection of her first 3 books, "Shabby Chic", "Shabby Chic Treasure Hunting and Decorating Guide", and "The Shabby Chic Home". It was only $5.99 at GW, Score! :O)

Blue Monday And Metamorphosis Monday

Huggy Bear is modeling my usual bed spread, which I really like, but is impractical for winter, without adding piles of other blankets.

Festus and Daisy are modeling my new "down alternative" comforter. It has no feathers, which I'm allergic to. It's 250 thread count and incredibly soft. The comforter is very light weight, yet very warm. I found it at T.J. Max for $ 39.99 for king size. Best of all it's machine washable.

It's also easier to make my bed in the morning before it's taken over by cats.

They think that this is their bed, (especially Coocoo) and that they allow us to use it at night.

All in all, they seem very pleased with the new bedding.

Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurant In Disneyland

I love this restaurant at Disneyland. Not only are the lamps just gorgeous, but the colors and patterns they reflect everywhere are magical looking. Please click on the mosaic to enlarge.

Ever have one of those days?

I may go back to GW and buy this mug when it's half off. I don't really need another mug, but this one makes me smile.

Jr. High/High School Ministry Room At My Church

This is where my boys get to spend their time on Sunday while my husband and I are in the main sanctuary. They have a really great youth pastor and it's a great atmosphere for the kid's to fellowship and get to know one another. They change around the decor in fun, funky ways. I liked how they took these out-dated tv's and small trees someone cut down from their yard, and re-purposed them into a wall display. Very frugal idea.
They take the kid's surfing on the weekends and store the church surfboards on the ceiling. They also have drums and guitars to play. I like the great amount of blue in the room.

The only new item that I added to this display, is the driftwood garland I found at the shell store. Other than that, everything else I went shopping for from around the house, to display in a new way. I was surprised how much I liked my cat painting in front of the fire place, which we never use anyway.

Bits Of Blue In My Kitchen

Happy Mosaic Monday and Blue Monday!

My kitchen and the rest of my home is basically a neutral pallet of white and beige. I can pretty easily change accessories to go with the different season's and holiday's. But most of the time I add beachy colors of blue, my favorite color.

Holiday Touches Of Blue

One of my favorite nativity ornaments, too heavy though for the tree, plus a soft hanging pillow sign from the 99 Cent Store....

Another favorite nativity plus blue glittery goodness.........
and the blue glitter bird of happiness.......

Adorable snowflake cookie cutters-75 cents from a yard sale last Saturday.I turned a cute little blue gift bag into a candy cane holder by slipping a glass inside the bag.

It's a small, small world..........

I love Christmas time at Disneyland. Some of their rides get a major Christmas make over and the biggest one is the It's A Small World ride.
Usually it's covered in white lights. And the entire inside is converted to Christmas scenes from around the world. Sorry about the blurry photos, the ride never sits still. An extra bonus was, when we came out of the ride, the fireworks started overhead and we had a perfect vantage point. :O)
