Blue, Metamorphosis and Mosaic Monday

My Husband wanted to make a "To the beach" sign for our front yard. He checked out a library book for some ideas and used a huge piece of plywood we've had for a while, which he found by the curb for free.

He did a really great job drawing it out free hand and then used the jigsaw to cut it out. The picture with the size 13 shoe is meant to show how large the cutout is. I used the library book and some old craft paint to finish it up. The picture he choose is a sailfish, he glued on bamboo skewers for the top fin before I painted it.

Between your and your husband, you created a very nice blue sign. If you know what you are doing, you can take nothing and make wonderful things. Nice blues for today.

Great sign. I hope he likes to fish? We had a house boat that had all those cool things on it..
I adore your cottage pets... I'm a animal lover and rescuer.
Happy Blue Monday

You'll have to take photos when you get the sign up in the front yard...and blog!!! Hehe!
