I'm making a beach themed Christmas this year

This old wreath really needed a make-over. It's been living in the garage with some very outdated decor on it. I didn't take a before picture of the old decorations, but trust me, they needed to go. So, I stripped them off and spray painted it white.
I wrapped it with light blue tulle and a string of pearls.
I hot glued my starfish with sparkly pipe cleaners and finished each center with a pearl.
I'm not sure yet if this will be an outside or inside wreath.
I'm still working on few other projects to share with you, so for now I thought I would display this starfish wreath with my boogie boards!
It's been really hot here this week, maybe I'll take my board out to the beach. :O) But I digress.....

I think I'm starting to get a thing for sparkly pipe cleaners,
They can turn just about anything into a Christmas ornament,
cheaply and lazily affordable and with ease.

Loved the photos, and YES, it has been hot here, WHY???? Last year at Country Roads, Tim made a driftwood Christmas tree. It was SO awesome. Not sure what he has planned this year!

Take care, Sue

Cute wreath! I love the way you wrapped the starfish. I want to do a beach theme Christmas at the condo when we get back down there. Thanks for sharing your ideas and I can't wait to see your other projects.

You have done an amazing job transforming your wreath. The beachy look would be perfect for our hot summery Christmases we have here in Australia.

Great idea!

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Love the wreath. Sweet idea to wrap the starfish so they are not "lost' on the wreath. Really makes them stand out.

I came by from Metamorphosis Monday. I'm before you on the list. This is a unique idea for Christmas and one I've not seen done before. Have fun with it!
