Burlap and Silver Pipe Cleaners

Here are the before shots of some picture frame/wall shelf thingies that I did for Fall.
Here are the after shots....... I used burlap and silver pipe cleaners, (I seem to be addicted to sparkly pipe cleaners now.)

All I did was hot glue the burlap onto the picture backing and form and hot glue the pipe cleaners on, super, super easy! And I think the piper cleaners give it a kind of vintage look to me.
I also spray painted both pieces and lightly sanded the edges to give them a bit of a shabby feel.
And oh!.............Attention all Walmart shoppers, I found these mercury glass acorn ornaments for only two dollars each, in silver and turquoise!
And I found little sparkly trees, two for a dollar at the 99 cent store! Yippee!!!!

I love the white picture frame thingys and what you did with them. I recently saw an old window with the glass still in it and behind each pane was part of an old cutter quilt, got me thinking immediately and now I see yours. I'm on the lookout for a window frame to decorate too!!!! I love that you change it out with the season.

Love those glass acorn ornaments! Thanks for the tip. I'll have to go check them out. I'm not quite ready to do Christmas yet because I want to use my Thanksgiving dishes, but I can hardly wait to see what blogland will do for Christmas since this is my first year.

I like your thinking...if you start to decorate now, you will have more time for fun later!

Love your sparkly Ho Ho Ho and JOY...very festive and yes, vintage. And the mercury glass ornaments are fantastic. Everything looks very holidayish and beachy!

Love the transformation. I've bought those pipe cleaners before and used for crafts but never thought about making words out of them. Love mixed with the burlap.

Love your quick-change ideas for the seasons. I will definitely be running to Wally World to scorn some of those acorns. And the little trees are another collection of mine but not sure if I have a 99 cents store in town. Thanks for sharing!

The transformation of your shelf is incredible!! You are so creative with the pipe cleaners & burlap~what a beautiful combo! I must say that your vintage camera & binoculars are heavenly, as well!

I talked to a friend recently & she gave me the heads up on the WalMart colors this year. Going to have to check it out!

I recently had a table painted white (unbelievable now!) and added slipcovers. Pop on over to my blog & see what you think! hugs, Cathy
