A Thanksgiving Tablescape

Hello Everyone! Thank you for all of the kind comments on my Sheet Music Chandy post! It just goes to show how many great things you can do with sheet music.

Lately I've been really getting into Christmas crafts and decorating. It's probably because I started my Fall decorating at the beginning of September. And if you've been reading my blog, you can tell that I don't decorate with anything "spooky". So it has looked like Thanksgiving here for awhile now, so I'm kinda "Falled out". Stick a fork in me, I'm done. Which is kind of odd since Thanksgiving is my very favorite Fall holiday.

Anyway I thought I would do one more Fall table scape, in honor of Thanksgiving.

Sorry, I just can't do any more orange, I oranged myself out in September and I'm still recovering.

Yes, now I can relax, now that the orange is gone!

I used  green, pale yellow, beige and of course white and a little red.

My terra cotta colored bird votives recieved a make over with some white arylic paint.
O.K., there's a teeny weeny bit of orange in this vintage bowl and my napkins, but that's it!
These turkey napkin rings are new to me from Goodwill. I like that they're white!

This vintage bowl was my mother's and we always used it on our Thanksgiving table when I was growing up.

I found the perfect picture to display in my Audubon book.

Relax and gather.
I found this white squash shaped coffee pot at Goodwill.

Hi Mary, Your table is very relaxing! That was such a good idea to paint the terra cotta birds--they look great. The audubon pic is hilarious for the Thanksgiving table. He really looks like he is running! And you are lucky to have your childhood bowl to add to the table. Very nice! Linda

Oh it is so pretty. I love your centerpiece. So pretty with the bowl of fruit and the votives and pumpkins surrounding it. Your buffet vignette is stunning. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that coffee pot. What a wonderful find. Everything looks so pretty. Thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

Your soft fall colours are a nice change from the vibrant oranges/reds/golds. My fave is that squash shaped teapot and all the white items on your sideboard. Good idea to display a page in a book as part of your vignette. My fall decor will be coming down next weekend then bring on Christmas! (we've already had our TG here in Canada so no guilt over it!) LOL!

What a wonderful and refreshing color palette. I am like you, I kind of get sick of the orange and I like toning it down with the cream. Your white ceramic pumpkins are fabulous. I have a few but wish I had more and larger.

The vintage bowl from your Mom is just like my Mom has - only she has ALOT of pieces to match it. Wish I could remember what it's called....Hmmm, maybe I'll use it in my TT post next week! Stay tuned! Sandi

I know what you mean about the color orange. I used to have it in my home everywhere, but when I took it out, I noticed a sudden calmer effect in my surroundings. Bit sometimes the seasons call for it anyway.

I just love the idea of the buttons in the shell for a votive display, I might just steal that one from you! I have a shell, I have buttons, I have votives! ;)

I'm pretty much over orange, too. Dang, I need to figure out where the Good Will is located in our city. That white squash coffee pot is spectacular!
You've done a beautiful job on your tablescape. I love that you keep your mom's bowl as the centerpiece for family Thanksgiving celebrations. Way cool! Thank you for sharing your lovely design. Cherry Kay
