They say that "A bible which is falling apart, belongs to someone who isn't".
Christ has always been the center of our marriage and I'm thankful to the Lord that I was blessed with a Godly husband. He is a man who reads his bible so much, he wore it out.
I bought this bible for Charles on our fist wedding anniversary. For a gift this year, I decided to surprise him by repairing it. We have a lot of bibles, but as you can see, this is his favorite one.
I whisked it off to my craft room and got out some black vinyl fabric left over from another project. All I did was measure out the fabric using the book and a black sharpie. Then I just used a lot of E6000 glue. I glued the vinyl to the detached cover, the binding and back cover. Now it's almost like new!
He really was happy with the way it turned out and I'm glad that I refrained from embellishing it. Charles surprised me with a very sweet pink bouquet from our garden, and It worked perfectly with the anniversary breakfast table I set.
This is our favorite Sunday breakfast, homemade pancakes, all natural brown and serve sausage (2 minutes in the microwave) and orange juice. So easy and so good.
I still love him so much after all these years.
