Happy New Year!

I painted this old window many years ago, to use at Christmas time. As a result it only gets used a couple of weeks a year and then lives in the garage the rest of the time. I thought it would be nice to put it on "Old Rusty" (my fire place)year round.
But there lies the dilemma, should my cute little snowmen meet their demise? All for the sake of decorating? I guess that's what camera's are for.
Goodbye cute little snow people, it's time to redecorate!
So I scraped the paint off of the glass, using my favorite all in one tool.....and took it outside to give the frame a really good sanding with my electric sander. Yes, it's my sander, not my husband's!
I was happy to see some blue paint showing underneath!
And there you have it, all cleaned up for the New Year. It holds so many decorating possibilities now and I can enjoy it all year long!

I hope you have a Happy New Year!

Mary,
I have always had a "decorating" rule: I use No snowmen until January!! I know that's strange, but after Christmas the "homescape" is so bare! So I pull out all my SnowBabies, old collectible snowmen, snowball candles and decorate! It makes easing back into the bare house a little easier! I LOVE your window, both with and without snowmen! I am now a follower. Please, drop by my blog whenever you have a minute!

Love snow man images, they can be so cute and you might as well as have a laugh about the snow while you have it. I grew up with long cold winters in New England and know it can be a long month.
