Hi Everyone, Are you enjoying your Summer? I love this time of year and it's no secret that I love the beach.
We live only 3 minutes away from the Huntington Beach pier and that's where we usually spend our beach time. Sometimes though, we like to drive up and down the coast to visit other beaches. Plus, just the drive along Pacific Coast Highway is so beautiful!
On this particular day, we decided to drive south to Laguna Beach, an artsy community by the sea.
This lifeguard tower on Laguna Beach was built in 1897 and used to be part of a gas station on Pacific Coast Highway. In the 1920's, after being moved across the street to the beach, it was used as lifeguard headquarters until 1985. It's still used as a regular lifeguard tower today.
We decided to stroll down the board walk and up the stairway toward The Inn of Laguna Beach, a very gorgeous ocean front Hotel.
Once at the top of the stairs, there's a scenic pathway along the cliff tops perfect for gazing and photography.
The pathway garden is beautifully lush with palms, succulents and flowers.
Combine that with the view of the ocean and it just puts it all over the top.
After walking along the path a ways we descended down one of the stairway onto the beach, by the tide pools.
I hope you enjoyed the tour of Laguna Beach!
