Beach Love Week and #191 Linky Party

Hi there! Welcome to the 191st
Masterpiece Monday linky party!
Last Thursday was our 21st wedding anniversary. We started celebrating early by inviting family and friends to the beach for a bonfire party on Tuesday.

When we first got there, we went straight down to the shore to watch the 20 foot waves come in from a Mexican hurricane. There were hundreds of these strange little jellyfish all over the shoreline. They're clear, flat disc shaped with a half disc in the middle to serve as a sail. They just blow around on top of the water.
Here is my hubby trying to capture pics of the big waves. This area is know as "The River Jetties". It marks the border between Huntington Beach and Newport Beach.

After we were done looking at the waves, it was time to roast hot dogs.

This is my husbands creation known as "the double salad dog", two hot dogs in one bun, covered with chili and topped with salad!

And for the perfect beach dessert, s'mores

Oh Yumm!

Our bonfire was back lit with this beautiful sunset and everyone had a really fantastic time.

By Wednesday the news had reported that the 20 year storm had made the waves even larger than the day before. So, we headed down to "The Wedge" in Newport Beach where the waves break the biggest.  Our cameras just could not do the waves justice, so I down loaded this YouTube video for you.

On Thursday, our actual anniversary, we went kyaking in Newport Harbor. It has become our new tradition now three years in a row and we love it!
Last year I took this same picture, only last year I was modeling dark blue nail polish. This year I decided on turquoise.

I'm very camera shy as some of you may know, but Charles was able to take this one of me. Very rare that I post pictures of me on here!
