Cakes From The OC Fair and #188 Linky Party

Hi, Welcome to Masterpiece Monday! I can't wait to see your great masterpiece's this week, I'm always blown away by how talented you all are.

This week, I didn't get my project finished on time, so I'll share it next week.  This week I'll share a couple of pictures I took at the Orange County Fair of the cake competition. I'm not sure why I took only 4 pictures, because there were a lot of great entries!

This beach cake did not win an award, but I liked it, it made me smile. It's probably within my skill level, if I were going attempt cake decorating.
My husband liked this one. He has about a million and one pairs of tennis shoes and he loves cake, so this one has his name on it! I think this one is very cleaver.
How cool is this octopus? I wouldn't even know how to go about making this.
This is my favorite! At first I was wondering why they were displaying succulents along with the cake entries and then realized that it was a cake! Wow!

Wow! The cakes all look delicious, Mary. Thanks for sharing them with us. I've been in love with the idea of Octopuses ever since I've seen Jodi Smith's Dear Octopus, so I can genuinely say that in my heart, that octopus cake takes the cake. Hahaha! Anyway, great features. Thanks for sharing the linky party! All the best! :)
