Table Scapes from The OC Fair nd My Top Ten Fav Picks

My husband and I went to the Fair today, for free, again.  On Wednesdays You can bring a certain donation, today it was non-perishable food, and earn free entry into the fair. :O)

I took some pictures of the professional table scape category. There were a lot in the regular category and I will share those on another post as there are just too many for one post!
I thought this one was simple, yet very elegant. The canopy above it really made an impact. Sorry about the blurry canopy shot, but you can still tell how pretty it was.
The next one is called "Night At The Opra". I love how dramatic it is and the electric flickering candle sticks.

Next is a tribute to war veteran's, I love the centerpiece with the helmet and flag and everything.  I thought this was a really great idea and they did a beautiful job!

Thank you to all who participated this week with MM, despite the major McLinky Tools problem. I don't think I'll ever use link back again. I'm just going to face the fact that some people are just uncool and won't bother to link back. And they will also never be featured on my top ten. :O)

Anyhoo:
If your link was featured this week, feel free to help yourself to a featured button from my side bar.  And now for the top ten!

Take care,

Mary,
Hello!!
Loved seeing those beautiful tablescapes!! The red, black and gold Night at the Opra was magnificent!!
Great ideas for tablescapes!! My church does a Harvest tea where different hostess's decorate their tables according to a theme that they pick. I usually do 2 tables!

Hugs,
Debbie

Thanks so much Mary! This is such a wonderful surprise and I feel so humbled. I loved all the beautiful tablescapes.... they are very inspiring and I'm walking away with so many lovely ideas, especially the first one with the canopy and white swag tablecover... and wonderful themes like the "Night at the Opera". Loved all the other features as well... the daybed and the bedroom makeover are simply gorgeous and Emily's bruschetta looks so yummy! Thanks again. Have a great weekend!~Poppy

Loved seeing the pro tables. I wish I could spend money to gather the items for centerpieces like these. But I guess its better to leave that to the pros! I look forward to seeing your posts from the OC fair each year.

Oh Mary, To say I'm surprised to be featured in your top ten list is an understatement. To be mentioned with this group of talented blogs is such an honor. Thank you so much!
You were able to get great photographs at the fair. I love the first photo, the elegant table and love the canopy with flowers. Wouldn't that be wonderful for a wedding. I thought the Night at the Opera was lovely but I love the tribute to the war veterans table. The centerpiece using the flag is moving. Thanks for posting these great tablescapes.
Now I'm proudly off to grab your feature button to post at TFH, thanks again.

There is no such fair here in the Kansas City area. Too bad. I would love to participate in something like that, and I know there are a LOT of very talented people in this area who could showcase their stuff. Hmmmmmm...maybe I'll have to get something started! :-) I really love the treatment given to the diamond pin tuck linen on the first one. Gorgeous! Very elegant! The tribute to the veterans of war....what a unique and wonderful concept!!!!!! I love it! The napkin fold reminds me of the soldiers' hats back in the 1930s and 40s. Not that I was alive then...:-) Have a great weekend! I look forward to seeing the posts of the "regular" category!

I can't wait for fair, from the displays to the fried food, it is so much fun. I love your tablescapes. At our fair we only feature the top four that the 4-H kids in cooking projects display. I hope to go to our state fair which as a contest and displays the winners. Thanks for sharing!
