My Top Ten Fav Picks from Masterpiece Monday #22

Last week I shared my weekly Tuesday lunch date with Hubby at the Huntington Beach Pier. This week we traveled south to the Newport Beach Pier.

I love Newport Beach. When I was growing up, my Grandma lived here in a cute little white wooden beach cottage. I'd spend weekends and Summers here, going to the outdoor fish market (above), swimming and surfing at the beach, or roller skating and biking on the board walk.

Not open when we were there, but These vintage boats display all of the fresh fish for sale.

My favorite restaurant in Newport is The Crab Cooker! It's been around forever.

I would love to have shutters like these!

We didn't dine-in. Instead we took home some of our favorite smoked albacore and The Crab Cooker's trade mark tartar sauce and a loaf of crusty sourdough bread. This is the counter when you first walk in, that you get some great take-out seafood.
I had the show you a close up of their vintage chandelier, which I'm in love with.

They have some other interesting decor as well!

I hope you enjoyed the Newport Beach tour!

And now for the Top Ten!!!

Oh, Newport Beach. It's been awhile since I've been down there. My ex-husband's Grandma use to live on the beach down there and I would take my kids down there when they were little! And the "Wedge", watching the big waves. Time, oh where does it go. Thanks for the memories!

Take care, Sue

Oh my goodness Newport Beach is awesome! Love the pictures. When we lived in California we meant to go there before we moved back east. After seeing these pictures I really wished we had!!
