My Top Ten Fav Picks Of MM #40

5 Minute Pie Crust Recipe

This is the recipe I use for all of my quiches and single crust pies. I've never tried to use this to top a pie, it's not really meant for that. I might try an experiment with it anyway, just because the recipe is so easy.

Ingredients
1 cup white flour or whole wheat flour or whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup of vegetable shortening
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of cold water

Put everything into a pie pan and combine completely using your hands.
The mixture will be extremely sticky at first, then eventually will stick less and become oily.
Make sure all of the flour is Incorporated and form a ball.
Now start flattening the dough with the palm of your hand.
Continue flattening and spreading up the sides of the pan. Press the edges with a fork if you want to dress it up a bit. That's it! I'm linking up this week with Foodie Friday at Designs by Gollum

And now for the top ten. If you were featured this week, feel free to help yourself to a featured button from my sidebar.
